Iridescent Moth Suncatcher

Size: 4.5"tall x 5"wide
 
This little moth is made mostly with found glass. I love thrifting art supplies and got lucky with some small pieces that were perfect for this little one's wings. 
I made this piece using the traditional Tiffany copper foil technique. 
 
While light handling of leaded stained glass art is considered safe, it is always a good idea to practice general safety precautions after handling stained glass art. Please wash your hands with soap and warm water after hanging in a sunny spot. Keep away from children and pets. 
 
Stained glass pieces may have reused glass incorporated into them. Sometimes I find glass at thrift stores or estate sales. I love creating art while keeping things out of our waste stream, and I hope you'll be excited about that too! Some glass is purchased new, but each piece is one of a kind, and because I use found glass in many of my pieces, sometimes it is impossible to recreate something exactly as it was made the first time. 
 
Please note: I do my best to package these fragile pieces without using plastic. However, I may need to use an occasional sheet of bubble wrap here and there. Please reuse or recycle if you are able to!
